Fall Retreat 2008

Wednesday August 27:  Students participated in a career services workshop, a panel discussion on Careers in Public Policy, met the Batten School administrative team, and listened to remarks from Gene Hickok, former U.S. Deputy Secretary of Education.

Thursday August 28:  In the morning, students participated in two public policy panel discussions, and in the afternoon met with fifth year students to discuss their experiences during their summer internships.  The retreat ended with remarks from Rector and Rector-Elect of the University of Virginia, John "Dubby" Wynne and a cook-out/ice-cream social.
