Ever wonder who answers your emails to our office or reads your application to Batten? Meet the faces behind Batten Admissions!

Ever wonder who answers your emails to our office or reads your application to Batten? Don’t know who to email to see if Batten is a good fit for you in your academic journey? In this week’s blog post, meet the members of the admissions team!

Anne Carter Mulligan – Anne is the Director of Undergraduate Admissions, handling admissions to the Bachelor of Arts, Minor, and Accelerated MPP program. A proud Hokie, Anne lived and went to grad school in DC before working at the Miller Center at UVA and Longwood University. Fun fact, Anne has 52 cousins in her extended family.

Jeff Chidester – Jeff is the Director of External Affairs, handling admissions to the postgrad MPP program. Jeff has been at UVA for seventeen years, working at the Miler Center before joining the Batten School. Fun fact, Jeff has met 3 U.S. presidents.

Courtney Leistensnider – Courtney is the Assistant Director of Admissions, planning admissions events and answering questions related to all of our programs. Before joining Batten, Courtney worked at her alma mater, Christopher Newport University. Fun fact, although not athletically inclined herself, Courtney is a big Virginia sports fan, so you can usually see her cheering on the Wahoos at JPJ or Scott Stadium.

Our office is here to support you as you find the path that is the right one for you. Feel free to make an appointment with us to learn more about our programs.
