Batten Co-Sponsors the 2016 APPAM Student Conference

The spring research conference will be held on April 1-2, 2016, at George Mason University’s Arlington campus near Washington, DC.

The Frank Batten School of Leadership and Public Policy is a co-sponsor of the 2016 Association for Public Policy and Management (APPAM) Regional Student Conference. The spring research conference will be held on April 1-2, 2016, at George Mason University’s Arlington campus near Washington, DC.

PhD and masters level students from across the region will participate in panels across all policy areas and will gain valuable experience presenting research and receiving feedback. Students and professional members of APPAM will have several opportunities to network and create connections in the policy world. Interested students should submit an abstract of an academic paper or project to APPAM for consideration for the conference. Submissions will open in November 2015 and acceptances will be sent in early February 2016.

  • Housing and Community Development

  • Poverty and Income Policy
  • Public and Nonprofit Management and Finance
  • Social Equity
  • Science and Technology
  • Tools of Analysis
