In Episode 6, Bill Howell, former Speaker of the Virginia House of Delegates, and David Toscano, former Minority Leader of the Virginia House of Delegates and former Mayor of Charlottesville, join Dean Ian Solomon to talk about their time in the state legislature, how they worked together across the aisle to get things done, and the importance of listening as a leader. This is an audio-only episode.
 
Howell and Toscano also recently spoke to Batten students, faculty, staff and guests for a conversation at Garrett Hall hosted by Craig Volden, Professor Public Policy and Politics and co-director of Batten’s Center for Effective Lawmaking.
