Royster-Lawton Fellows in Social Enterprise
The Royster-Lawton Fellows in Social Enterprise were recently established to expand access, affordability and experiential learning opportunities in the area of social enterprise for students at the University of Virginia.
The Royster-Lawton Fellows in Social Enterprise were recently established to expand access, affordability and experiential learning opportunities in the area of social enterprise for students at the University of Virginia. Thanks to a generous gift from Jill Royster and Drew Lawton, students can advance their career in social enterprise through a summer scholarship to intern with social enterprises and coaching to identify and land exciting social venture opportunities.
Six Fellows will be selected each year. Fellowships will be awarded to students who have a demonstrated interest in social entrepreneurship through the Social Entrepreneurship Minor, or through Social Entrepreneurship courses run by the Frank Batten School of Leadership and Public Policy.

Their forward-thinking ideas about opportunities in higher education will enable young social entrepreneurs to develop solutions to real world problems,” said Professor Christine Mahoney, director of Social Entrepreneurship at UVA (SE@UVA).
