Jalen Ross

Jalen Ross has run with bulls, jumped out of planes, and appeared on CNN -- but one of those things only happened in a dream. As a Consultant with the Chicago office of the Boston Consulting Group, he has concentrated in the Retail and Industrial Goods practice areas, helping clients do everything from build jet engines to design hotels. Most recently, on externship to McDonald’s Corporation, he’s managed data analytics for the newly-launched global McDelivery service in partnership with UberEats.

Jalen graduated with a B.S. in Systems and Information Engineering from the University of Virginia, as a Jefferson Scholar. While there, he also pursued minors in Business and Politics, was a member of the University Guide Service and Phi Delta Theta fraternity, and served as Student Body President during one of the University’s most turbulent years.

In Chicago, Jalen helped found the Young Professionals Board for High Jump, a local nonprofit providing an intensive academic enrichment program for high-potential, limited-means middle school students. He’s also done strategy design work with Lions Clubs International and been involved with local political campaigns.

In his free time, Jalen wishes for more free time, builds furniture, pretends he can cook, and is the only known human to recreationally watch CSPAN.
