Students from China’s UIBE to participate in Global Health Security Game

On May 25th, 79 students from University of International Business and Economics (UIBE) in Beijing, China will participate in the Global Health Security Game, a computer-based simulation game developed by the Center for Leadership Simulation and Gaming.

Our center will be running the new Pandemic Simulation for the System Dynamics Modeling course at James Madison University.

Leadership Simulation with Tri-Sector Leadership Fellows

Our center will be running a leadership simulation with the Tri-Sector Leadership Fellows from Batten-Darden-Law School with educational emphasis in behavioral biases and crisis management.

Alpha Tau Omega to Participate in Leadership Simulation

ATO’s Delta Chapter here at UVA, a national leadership fraternity, will be participating in a simulation designed to develope their leadership skills and to teach the relationship between behavioral science and leadership decision-making process.

Situation Room Experience with Monticello High School

25 Senior AP Government students from the Monticello High School will be participating in the Situation Room Experience here at the Center for Leadership Simulation and Gaming. This highly interactive experience will provide a glimpse of a college level education as well as what it would be like to work in the government.

Poverty Simulation

April 25th, 2017

Lead by Prof. Jeanine Braithwaite along with Prof. Eileen Chou and Dr. Ines Jurcevic, we will be hosting a Poversity Simulation. Co-hosted with Piedmont Court Appointed Child Advocates, participants in the simulation will be required to make difficult financial decisions under poverty.

Cyber 9/12 Student Challenge

Batten will be sending two teams to complete in developing a national security policy recommendation to address a fictional cybersecuirty catastrophy developed and hosted by the Atlantic Council.
