Michael McMullin serves as School Registrar & Academic Operations Manager at the Frank Batten School of Leadership and Public Policy at the University of Virginia, where he oversees student records and academic operations for both undergraduate and graduate degree programs. With more than 15 years of higher-education experience, he brings deep expertise in student systems and supporting faculty, staff, and students.

Prior to joining the Batten School, Michael worked at Blue Ridge Community College as a Student Records Specialist and previously served as Part-Time Faculty (Social Sciences) and worked in NCAA academic eligibility for the Registrar at Lee University (Cleveland, TN).

Michael believes in the power of education to open doors, create opportunity and is excited to be a part of the Batten School. He has taught social science courses and led cross-cultural education programs in the U.S. and abroad, and he is currently completing a PhD in Education & Social Justice at Lancaster University (UK).

Outside of work, he enjoys life in the Shenandoah Valley with his wife, their two children, and their miniature schnauzer, Henry. He is an avid soccer fan, enjoys science fiction tv and movies, and loves to travel and explore new cultures.
