Theodore L. Chandler

Co-founder and Managing Director of NRV

Theodore L. Chandler, Jr. is Co-founder and Managing Director of NRV, a firm dedicated to funding early stage growth companies in the Commonwealth of Virginia. Ted offers more than 30 years of C-suite experience, strategic leadership and board service. In addition to NRV, Ted serves on the Board of Directors of the following NRV portfolio companies: Territory, Inc., Moonlighting LLC., Health Warrior, Inc., and WealthForge Holdings, Inc.

As a community leader, Ted currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Frank Batten School of Leadership and Public Policy at UVA, Capital Region Collaborative, VCU Massey Cancer Center, Richmond Performing Arts Center, Virginia Foundation for Independent Colleges, and the Richmond Region Management Roundtable. Ted previously served as Board Chairman of the Greater Richmond Chamber of Commerce, Partnership for Nonprofit Excellence, Maymont Foundation, Richmond Arts Foundation, and the Association for Corporate Growth.

Previously, Ted served as Chairman and CEO of LandAmerica Financial Group, Inc. (Fortune 500) acquired by Fidelity National Financial and as Lead Director of Hilb, Rogal and Hobbs Co. (NYSE) acquired by Willis Towers Watson. He began his career as an attorney at Williams Mullen, a large Mid-Atlantic law firm, where he specialized in corporate, mergers and acquisitions, and securities law.

Ted has a BS in Accounting from the McIntire School of Commerce at the University of Virginia and a JD from the University of Richmond School of Law.
