Shannon Bryan is the head of North America Brand and Communications for the Shell retail business.  Shannon leads the development and deployment of the advertising and other integrated creative expressions of the brand in the US & Canada. This includes leading the development of a Retail marketing communications strategy for fuels, cards, loyalty, convenience retailing and sponsorships.  Shannon’s previous positions with Shell include head of NA Fuels Marketing; General Manager, Global Customer Insights; and General Manager, Retail Marketing Strategy & Performance. 

 

Work Experience

Prior to joining Shell, Shannon was the Director of Brand Marketing for Pizza Hut where he managed the nation’s largest pizza business and launched several new products. Shannon’s extensive consumer brand management and marketing experience includes roles at Frito Lay managing Cracker Jack and Fritos brands and leading the Frito Lay marketing team for Wal*Mart, Costco, Target, & Kroger. He began his marketing career at Procter & Gamble managing household brands Mr. Clean, Swiffer, & Tide.

Shannon serves on the Board of Directors of Colbea Enterprises, L.L.C.  He also serves as a trustee for the University of Virginia IDEA Fund and chairs the governance & nominations committee.  Shannon serves on the Marketing Advisory Committee for the McIntire School of Commerce at the University of Virginia.  Shannon sits on the Advisory Board for the Batten School of Leadership & Public Policy at the University of Virginia.  He has been a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated since 1991.
