Accelerated Master of Public Policy

Our Accelerated Master of Public Policy allows current UVA undergraduates from any major outside of Batten to earn both a bachelor’s degree and Master of Public Policy in a total of five years of coursework.

The program’s core curriculum builds a strong foundation in the concepts, methods and strategies of policy analysis, while electives give students the opportunity to gain substantive experience in their areas of passion.

The vertex of the program is an Applied Policy Project that challenges students to perform a professional-quality study for a real-world client. For the truly vigorous, it may even lead to a post-graduation position.

Eligible Applicants:

UVA students with a major outside Batten who will have 90 credits and will have successfully completed and earned a C or higher in ECON 2010 (or equivalent) and calculus (MATH 1190, 1210, or 1310; APMA 1090; or any more advanced or equivalent calculus) by Aug 1, 2024.
