About Events Personal Finance 101 Personal Finance 101 Mar 30, 2022 Great Hall, Garrett Hall REGISTER Batten Career Services, in collaboration with Professor Andy Pennock, is pleased to offer two personal finance workshops in the next two weeks. Personal Finance 101, led by Professor Pennock, will be next Wednesday, March 30, from 6 – 7:30 pm. Personal Finance 102, led by Steve Hiss, will be the following Wednesday, April 6, also from 6 – 7:30 pm. These sessions will be in the Great Hall, will only be in-person (i.e. not on Zoom or recorded), and will feature your favorite Batten foods (think Mellow Mushroom and Sticks). Personal Finance 101: Join Professor Pennock for an overview of the financial decisions you’ll be making after graduation. This workshop will cover principles of personal budgeting, insurance choices, investment and retirement planning, and more. You'll walk away with a greater understanding of personal finance, a functioning budget spreadsheet to help you plan your finances, and clarity about the choices you’ll soon be making.
