Stay Connected ALUMNI DIRECTORY Alum in Action: Mayura Iyer (MPP '16) Iyer’s passion for education policy and social justice have taken her through the D.C. public school system, Teach for America, and the pages of Rolling Stone. Now, as a teacher of 11th grade U.S. History, she hopes to gain hands-on experience in the communities she’ll one day serve. Alum in Action: Michael Russell (BA '16) The skills Russell obtained at Batten served him well while interviewing with senior leadership of the National Basketball Association.
