John Holbein is a postdoctoral research fellow at the Center for the Study of Democratic Politics at Princeton University. His subfields are political behavior, public policy, and methods for causal inference. He studies voter turnout, democratic accountability, representation, and education policy.   He focuses on doing policy-relevant research. His work has been cited in a prominent federal voting rights case and has been covered by news outlets such as the Washington PostBloomberg, and FiveThirtyEight.
