Malcolm Brogdon Awarded Ernest H. Ern Distinguished Student Award

The University of Virginia Alumni Association has awarded Batten MPP student Malcolm Brogdon the 2016 Ernest H. Ern Distinguished Student Award at its annual board of managers meeting. Brogdon, who led the UVA Mens Basketball team to the Elite Eight in the NCAA Tournament, is well-known for his strong work ethic both on the court and in the classroom.

This award is presented annually by the Alumni Association to a member of the student body who has won recognition in the University community for demonstrating outstanding academic and leadership performance and for preserving the tradition of the University. The purpose of the award is to honor a student who has won the admiration of the University community for exceptional contributions in several areas of University life.

Nominees from the undergraduate, graduate and professional student body are eligible for the award.
