Carlos Enrique Cavelier

Carlos Enrique Cavelier has a BA from the University of Vermont and a MPA from Harvard´s Kennedy School. He taught for 7 years at the Universidad de Los Andes.

He served as Special Assistant to the Minister of Agriculture for poor areas and General Secretary of the Ministry of Justice. He was also elected City Councilman, State Senator and Member of the Colombian House of Representatives.

For the last quarter century he has lead Alquería Dairy, the family firm, taking it from revenues of $12M to over $400M, from 1 to 8 manufacturing plants and 400 to 6,000 associates.

He currently heads the boards of Empresarios por la Educación (ExE), Banco de Alimentos de Bogotá, the Presidential Colombian – French Strategic Business Committee, and is also a member of the Board of Overseers at the Universidad de Los Andes.

Carlos has published 3 books and many articles in Colombian newspapers and magazines.
