In this role, Eliza oversees Batten’s annual fund which provides philanthropic support for the School’s priority areas including student scholarships, student internships, and faculty research. Eliza serves as a liaison to the Batten Alumni Advisory Board and enjoys working closely with board members on alumni engagement initiatives and alumni philanthropy. She also oversees event strategy and strategic stewardship for the development office. Eliza has been with the University since 2014 and with the Batten School since 2016. Prior to UVA, Eliza was an event planner at CFA Institute and the Director of Communications at Oldfields School, a boarding and day school in Glencoe, Maryland. Eliza holds a Bachelor’s degree in English with a concentration in Creative Writing from Hollins University where she played soccer and lacrosse. She lives in Charlottesville with her young son.
