Kayla serves as the Batten School’s Student and Career Services Coordinator. She rejoins grounds after receiving her Bachelor of Arts and Master of Education degrees from UVA in 2022 and 2023 respectively. Prior to working at Batten, Kayla taught secondary English and Language Arts at Waynesboro High School. While at Waynesboro, Kayla served as chair of the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion committee and tutored English-language learners through an after school program. In her free time, Kayla enjoys running, taking spin classes, and reading.
