Starrie Williamson is a native of the Mid-atlantic region of the United States and has worked at design agencies, educational software companies, and universities in Philadelphia, Washington D.C. and Charlottesville, VA. She has been a User Experience Designer and Web Developer since the late 1990s and has a strong background in K-12 and higher education software design and development. Before her role at the Batten School, Starrie worked as a web designer and developer for the Curry School of Education, The College and Graduate School of Arts & Sciences, and the UVA Library.

Starrie is the founder of GDG Central Virginia (technology group) and serves as an Ambassador in Google’s Women Techmakers program.
