Her scholarship has been published widely in leading journals and proposes innovative legal and policy solutions for ensuring that all children receive equal access to an excellent education.

Marrissa Jones (she, her, hers) is the Social Equity Advisor at The University of Virginia's Frank Batten School of Leadership and Public Policy. Ms. Jones is passionate about promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in higher education- as demonstrated through her numerous leadership roles during her time as an undergraduate at UVA. Most notably, Ms. Jones is the co-founder of 'Hoos First Look', a fly-in program aimed at recruiting high-achieving low-income and/or first-generation high school students into UVA. Ms. Jones has previous education consulting experience at The Lewin Group, where she worked as a Senior Research Analyst for the Office of Head Start Monitoring and Evaluation contract.
