Women in Policy Meeting Women in Policy Meeting 5:30 PM Great Hall of Garrett Hall Join us for a Women in Policy meeting as we hear from guest speaker Geri Greenspan. The conversation will be aimed at building awareness for domestic violence policy issues in Virginia in honor of domestic violence awareness month. Geri Greenspan Geri Greenspan is a Senior Pro Bono Fellow for Hunton Andrews Kurth, housed at the Legal Aid Justice Center’s Charlottesville office. Geri’s practice focuses exclusively on pro bono matters, and concentrates on representing and advising domestic and sexual violence survivors in civil cases, family law matters, and applications for humanitarian immigration benefits. Geri also serves on the Public Policy Committee for the Virginia Sexual & Domestic Violence Action Alliance, and was the recipient of the Sexual Assault Resource Agency’s 2018 Annette Grimm award. Geri is a 2008 graduate of the Yale Law School. Prior to joining Hunton, Geri served as a law clerk for the Honorable Norman K. Moon of the United States District Court for the Western District of Virginia. Before beginning law school, she spent two years as a volunteer with the Peace Corps in the Islamic Republic of Mauritania, West Africa and studied the archeology of ancient Greece as a Fulbright Fellow.
