Kyle Nevins is a Founding Partner of Harbinger Strategies, a federal government and political affairs firm based in Washington, D.C.  Mr. Nevins represents a wide variety of clients before the federal government, including Fortune 500 companies, trade associations, and issue advocacy campaigns.  Mr. Nevins advises clients on direct advocacy, the legislative process, and political strategy, specializing in the following issue areas: banking and financial services, budget and appropriations, creative content, defense, energy, health care, privacy, tax, telecom, trade, and transportation.

 

Work Experience

Before his work at Harbinger Strategies, Mr. Nevins was a principal at Capitol Counsel for two years, a mid-sized and bipartisan federal government affairs firm in Washington.  Prior to entering the private sector, Mr. Nevins spent 11 years as a staffer in the U.S. House of Representatives, serving as Director of Floor Operations for then-Republican Whip, Roy Blunt (MO), and as Deputy Chief of Staff to then-Majority Leader, Eric Cantor (VA).  Mr. Nevins helped lead the House Republican vote-counting operation throughout the 2000s, influencing key policy decisions during both the George W. Bush and Barack Obama Administrations.  Mr. Nevins then oversaw House committee and floor activity for Leader Cantor, guiding the chamber’s legislative strategy and floor scheduling.

Kyle Nevins serves on the Board of the Center for Effective Lawmaking (CEL), is a guest lecturer at the Brookings Institution, has been published by Brookings Press and The Federalist Society, has testified before the U.S. House Select Committee on the Modernization of Congress, and is an investor and advisor of Prolegis, a free legislative research start-up.  Mr. Nevins has been named as one of Washington’s “Top Lobbyists” by The Hill and as one of “50 Politicos to Watch” by Politico.
