Work Experience

Dr. Valdivia has previously worked at George Mason University and the Brookings Institution, has been guest editor for Issues in S&T of the National Academies, and has taught at Johns Hopkins, George Mason and Arizona State. His research seeks to inform institutional design of the American innovation system and to foster the next generation of national S&T leaders.

Dr. Valdivia has an MS in economics and a PhD in public affairs from Arizona State University and a BS in economic from Universidad Católica Boliviana.
