Admiral Mike Rogers will engage in a wide-ranging discussion of cybersecurity and privacy. ADM Rogers oversaw the NSA and led the standup of US Cyber Command in a period of turmoil over citizen privacy. He brings a perspective on how to preserve and protect the freedoms of US citizens who live in a technologically enabled world, but where criminals and adversaries seek to exploit the democratic values that underpin our society.

Join us for a panel discussion, "The Road Map to the 2020 Election," moderated by Center for Politics Director Larry J. Sabato. Panelists include New York Times Columnist Jamelle Bouie, The Daily Beast Senior Columnist Matt K. Lewis, New York Times Journalist Jonathan Martin, and CNN Political Commentator Tara Setmayer. This event is co-sponsored by the Batten School and UVA Center for Politics.

Road Map 2020 Presidential Election

Join Pulitzer Prize–winning journalist Sonia Nazario, author of Enrique's Journey, for a wide ranging and provocative exploration of the promise and perils of immigration. In conversation with Batten professor David Leblang, Nazario will engage in a broader discussion of conditions in Central America, changes in U.S. immigration policies, and ways in which communities welcome immigrants and refugees.
