Applied Policy Project

The Batten Applied Policy Project (APP) can help you make an evidenced-based decision on how to address it. For their capstone project, each Master of Public Policy (MPP) student in our program conducts a comprehensive analysis of a significant public policy issue and provides evidence-based, actionable recommendations.

Your organization will benefit from:

A year-long policy analysis and tailored recommendations for the public policy challenge you identify by a graduate student under faculty supervision;
A 30-40 page technical report that provides an overview of the problem, outlines several options to address it, evaluates the options based on evidence, recommends a course of action, and details an implementation plan;
Two additional resources to support the change process (op-ed, one-pagers, presentation deck, infographics, etc);
Customized involvement, from minimal to extensive, depending on your needs, interest, and availability; and
An opportunity to shape future policy experts and leaders.
