Andrew Wilson is an assistant professor of public policy at the University of Virginia Frank Batten School of Leadership and Public Policy. His research combines tools from economics and Earth science to answer questions related to our management of the global commons and environmental health. 

Melanie Egorin

Melanie Anne Egorin is a professor of practice in public policy at the University of Virginia Frank Batten School of Leadership and Public Policy.  Egorin served most recently as assistant secretary for legislation at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), where she was the principal advisor to the HHS secretary and the liaison for members of Congress and their staff across the broad range of issues handled by the department.

SoRelle Wyckoff Gaynor

SoRelle Wyckoff Gaynor is an assistant professor of public policy at the University of Virginia Frank Batten School of Leadership and Public Policy, where she specializes the U.S. Congress and political institutions. Her research focuses on Congressional leadership, institutional reform, and partisan communication. 

Jenna Anders

Jenna Anders is an assistant professor public policy at the Frank Batten School of Leadership and Public Policy at the University of Virginia. She studies the consequences of public policy design choices: for example, how does the income eligibility threshold affect take-up of means-tested welfare programs? Her current work is on environmental regulation, with a particular focus on the implications of centralized versus decentralized policy implementation.

Ben Goehring

Ben Goehring is an assistant professor of public policy in the Frank Batten School of Leadership and Public Policy at the University of Virginia.  He studies American political institutions, with a particular focus on executive branch politics at the state and federal levels. 

Kristen Roorbach

Kristen Roorbach is an adjunct faculty member at the Frank Batten School of Leadership and Public Policy at the University of Virginia.  Roorbach teaches on topics including Poverty in U.S. Education Policy and Special Education Policy.

Jonathan Colmer

Jonathan Colmer is an associate professor of economics and public policy at the University of Virginiaand the Co-Founder and Director of the Environmental Inequality Lab. Colmer is an environmental economist who also works in the area of growth and development economics. His research combines data with insights from economic theory and environmental science to better understand how economic activity and the environment influence one another.

Brendan Bartanen

Brendan Bartanen is Assistant Professor of Education in the department of Education Leadership, Foundations & Policy in the School of Education and Human Development and Assistant Professor of Public Policy by Courtesy in the Frank Batten School of Leadership and Public Policy at the University of Virginia. Bartanen's research aims to increase our understanding of the labor market for principals and teachers. In particular, his work examines the intersections among educator turnover, measures of effectiveness, high-stakes evaluation systems, and educator diversity.

Rachel Potter

Rachel Augustine Potter is an Associate Professor of Politics, a Senior Fellow at the Miller Center for Public Affairs, and Associate Professor of Public Policy by Courtesy in the Frank Batten School of Leadership and Public Policy at the University of Virginia.  Her research focuses on American political institutions, with a particular emphasis on the executive branch and the bureaucracy.

Eric Scorsone

Eric Scorsone is Executive Director of the Weldon Cooper Center for Public Service and Associate Professor of Public Policy by Courtesy in the Frank Batten School of Leadership and Public Policy at the University of Virginia.  Scorsone has over 25 years of public service in academic settings, as well as many years’ experience in state and local government.  He has expertise in state and local public finance and administration and regional economics.
