Langdon Greenhalgh is a professional international emergency response manager who is CEO of Global Emergency Group, a humanitarian consulting firm dedicated to enabling emergency humanitarian aid actors to respond to those most in need more effectively so as to save more lives and reduce suffering.

Shannon Bryan is the head of North America Fuels Marketing for the Retail business at Shell. He leads the team responsible for delivering Shell’s retail branded fuels marketing strategy, product portfolio, category plans, and supporting programs to drive the key customer metrics and achieve volume, share, and margin growth objectives for Shell-branded fuels in the U.S. and Canadian markets.

Frank Batten, Jr. is the chairman of Landmark Media Enterprises L.L.C., which is based in Norfolk.

James Cathro

James is the Director of Finance and Administration at the Frank Batten School of Leadership and Public Policy. 

Jeff Chidester

Jeff Chidester is the Executive Director of External Affairs, where he oversees admissions, strategic partnerships, communications and marketing, and the broader external affairs portfolio.

Jill Rockwell

Jill oversees the administrative units of student affairs, and career services, working with the other members of the student services team to strengthen students’ co-curricular and career-related experiences at the Batten School.

Amanda Crombie

Amanda Crombie is the Batten School’s Assistant Dean for Academic Programs and is responsible for academic advising, course scheduling and enrollment as well as curriculum management for the School.

Daphna Bassock

Daphna Bassok is professor of education and public policy at the University of Virginia and associate director of EdPolicyWorks, a collaboration between the School of Education and Human Development and the Frank Batten School of Leadership and Public Policy. Her research focuses on early childhood education policy and efforts to improve early childhood education at scale, particularly policies aimed at supporting the early childhood education workforce.

Richard Bonnie

Richard J. Bonnie is a professor of public policy at the Batten School and Director of the Institute of Law, Psychiatry and Public Policy at the University of Virginia. ­­He teaches and writes about health law and policy, bioethics, criminal law, and public policies relating to mental health, substance abuse and public health.

Jeanine Braithwaite

Jeanine Braithwaite is a professor of public policy at the Frank Batten School of Leadership and Public Policy. Prior to joining the Batten School, she was a senior economist at the World Bank, specializing in social protection policy and poverty analysis. She has also worked at the International Monetary Fund and U.S. Census Bureau, providing technical assistance to the U.S.S.R. and newly-independent former Soviet republics.
